Who knew drawing provocative images visible to the public could be good for the community and motorists? In Manchester, England an artist known as Wanksy (Clearly a tongue a cheek copy of the talented Banksy) has taken it upon himself to address the dreaded tyre poppers in his city. As like many other towns around the world it is littered with potholes and having witness countless friends injure themselves in these gravel filled pits of hell Wanksy decided to do something about it. In order to get the local councils attention he started drawing sexually graphic images around the holes, making them visible to everyone. Soon enough the holes were getting filled and covered up.

Naturally Wankys work has not gone unnoticed with his self snapped images going viral. Seems there is a mixed reaction from the public, with a local council spokesperson saying:
“Has this person, for just one second, considered how families with young children must feel when they are confronted with these obscene symbols as they walk to school? Not only is this vandalism, but it’s also counter-productive. Every penny that we have to spend cleaning off this graffiti is a penny less that we have to spend on actually repairing the potholes.”
Wanksy would like to add the paint is non-permanent that washes out in 1-2 weeks. Just enough time to draw attention to it and have the repair done.
